Match on action, 180 degree rule and shot, reverse shot

Matching on action is when in a scene an editor cuts from one shot to another but that matches with the action of the first shot. e.g a man opening a door and walking through, one shot could be the man opening the door and the next shot would be him walking through it.

180-degree rule is when the shot is at the side of the action, but keeping within the ark of the characters. When shooting two actors the camera must not cross the axis of action.

Shot, reverse shot is when there is one character looking at something or someone then the reverse shot would be the camera facing them looking at the same thing or person.
